Do Data Analyst interviews include a SQL or technical test?
Very often, yes. A live SQL exercise or a take-home analysis is common. Practise writing queries and, just as importantly, explaining out loud what each one does and why.
How should I prepare for a Data Analyst interview?
Have three or four real analyses ready that you can walk end to end: the messy starting data, the method you chose, and the decision it changed. Then brush up your SQL until you can write it under a little pressure.
What do interviewers look for in a Data Analyst?
Rigour and clarity. Can you trust your data, choose a sensible method, and explain the result to someone who isn't technical? That matters more than knowing every function by heart.
